Bowness-on-Windermere Gallery Marks First Year

This weekend, the Lucy Pittaway Gallery in Bowness-on-Windermere celebrates its first anniversary.

Since opening in August 2024, the gallery has welcomed visitors from across the Lake District and beyond, showcasing the work of Lucy Pittaway, a multi-award-winning artist known for her pastel paintings of sheep, northern landscapes, and other iconic pieces.

Bowness is one of seven Lucy Pittaway galleries, plus an outlet store, located across North Yorkshire, Cumbria, and Newcastle upon Tyne. Visitors can explore a collection of mounted and framed prints, canvases, and homeware, all featuring Lucy Pittaway’s original artwork.

To mark the occasion, gallery manager David is running a prize draw to win a framed artwork and offering refreshments to visitors over the weekend. All are welcome to come along and join the celebration.

David said:
“It’s been a busy first year here in Bowness. We’ve met many customers from the local area and further afield, and we look forward to welcoming more in the year ahead.”

The anniversary weekend is a chance for both regular visitors and newcomers to drop by and explore the collection.
