Lucy’s Team Fundraiser For The Great North Air Ambulance Service

£553 raised of £1,000 target by 28 supporters

The Lucy Pittaway team took part in three challenging treks around Northern England, based on the locations of three of Lucy’s favoured paintings.

These were Sycamore Gap, Northumberland, Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick, and The Cleveland Way, Saltburn.

The treks totalled 33 miles representing the years The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) has been operating.

GNAAS is a publicly funded charity that needs to raise £9.5m each calendar year to provide the critical services it delivers.

They rescue hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire, and Cumbria.

Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident, whether on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre.

The charity responded to 1,640 callouts last year alone, via their helicopter and emergency response vehicles, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.
