Why Black Friday Is So Important for Us?

Black Friday has become a major date in the shopping calendar because people expect clear savings at a time when they are preparing for Christmas. For us, it is a moment to offer value on the pieces our customers have had their eye on. This year, our offer is simple and open to everyone.

The Black Friday Offer You Should Know About
From Saturday 15 November to Monday 1 December, we are offering 25% off all artwork. This includes mounted prints, framed prints, and canvases, available online and in all our galleries. Originals and trade are not included in the offer.
If you have been considering a piece from our collections, whether it is a landscape, a dog scene, cycling artwork, animals, trees or skies, this is the ideal time to buy.

How to make the most of the offer:
• Browse online in advance and save your favourites.
• Visit any of our galleries to view artwork in person.
• Think about the size and frame you need for your space.
• Act early, as some pieces can sell out during this period.

How and Why We Have Made Black Friday One of Our Major Events
We have expanded Black Friday into a key event in our year because customer behaviour has shifted. People look for meaningful offers earlier and need more time to make buying decisions. Instead of running a single day of discounts, the event now runs across several weeks to give people the time they need.

To support this, we plan the event across all parts of our business. This includes our galleries in Newcastle upon Tyne, Harrogate, Keswick, Richmond, Yarm, York and Bowness on Windermere, as well as our online store. Messages, banners, emails and in-gallery displays are aligned so the offer is clear and easy to understand.

Customers often want to know:
• What is included?
• What is not included?
• How long does the offer last?
• Can they buy online as well as in store?

By being clear on all of this, we make the event easy to engage with.

Why Black Friday Is So Important for UK Retail
Black Friday has grown into an important moment for the retail sector. Shoppers now expect discounts in November and often wait to see what retailers will offer. It also marks the beginning of Christmas shopping for many households.
For retailers, this period offers an opportunity to reach new customers and support the end of the year. It increases activity in stores and boosts traffic online. For us, it helps people choose artwork that feels right for their home or as a gift.
