A Roaring New Release for Rugby Fans

To mark the 2025 British and Irish Lions Tour, Lucy Pittaway has launched a new piece of artwork – The Lions Ewe-nited.

Rugby fans will recognise the red backdrop and lion reference, along with a few extra nods to the game. The sheep – one of Lucy’s most familiar characters – is wearing a multi-coloured headband to represent the four home nations coming together.

If you look closely, you might spot the sheep’s black eye in the shadows, a nod to the physical demands of the sport.

The mix of light and shadow reflects how fans watch the tour from opposite sides of the world — some in daylight, others in the middle of the night. It cleverly captures the shared experience, the team spirit and the sense of pride that comes with every Lions tour.

The Original – Only One Available
The original painting will also be available to one lucky person. It’s 36” x 36”, framed in black with a red slip, and priced at £10,250.
While it’s on display at our Keswick gallery, it can be ordered from any of our galleries, online or by phone. Wherever you are, you’ve got the chance to own it – but once it’s gone, it’s gone. Good luck!

Prints Also Available
Prints of The Lions Ewe-nited are also available to buy. They come in a range of sizes and finishes, either mounted or framed. You can buy online or visit any Lucy Pittaway gallery to see them in person.
Prints start from £80 and can be viewed here.

If you’re a rugby supporter, art collector or just love Lucy’s work, this piece brings together sport, humour and a strong sense of unity.

Join us in wishing our boys the best of luck on tour – we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way!

Available now – while stocks last.
