Lucy Pittaway with the Original Up the Boro and Dom McDonough from the MND Association

Afternoon Tea Raises Over £10,000 for the MNDA

Earlier this week, Lucy hosted a special Afternoon Tea at Hardwick Hall Hotel near Sedgefield, raising more than £10,000 in support of the MND Association. The event brought together art lovers, supporters, and friends for a wonderful afternoon, all in aid of a cause very close to Lucy’s heart.

Guests heard Lucy take part in a Q&A session, where she spoke about her art, he business, and the inspirations behind her work, and why the MND Association means so much to her.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was the sale of the original Up the Boro artwork, with 100% of the proceeds donated directly to the charity. More funds were raised through raffles, artwork and merchandise sales, and entries into our October prize draw competition, all helping to reach an incredible total of over £10,000 in just one afternoon.

Lucy said, “It was such a special day. To see so many people come together to support the MNDA and to share stories and a love of art was really moving. I can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity.”

A special thank you goes to Dominic McDonough, Relationship Fundraiser (North) at the MND Association, for helping to bring the event together, and to everyone who attended or supported in any way.

Funds raised will help the MND Association continue its vital work supporting those affected by motor neurone disease and funding ongoing research into treatments and care.
