Chris Completes the GNR for GNAAS

Who cared about the weather, the Great North Run was a blast. That was the message, loud and clear from Chris Bradley, our Head of Marketing, when he completed, arguably, the biggest running event in the world, raising over £1,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).

The funds will contribute directly to the critical work GNAAS does in providing life-saving pre-hospital care across the North East, Yorkshire, and Cumbria. This charity is incredible, and the team at Lucy Pittaway Ltd is proud to be supporting and raising funds for them throughout 2024.

Participating in the Great North Run was a remarkable experience for Chris. “The support from everyone along the route was truly inspiring and spurred me on through every mile. Meeting some of the dedicated team members from GNAAS at the finish line was a special moment for me. They are an incredible group of people who work tirelessly to ensure that those in need of emergency medical attention, often in hard-to-reach or remote areas, receive the care they urgently require”.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service operates entirely on public donations, needing to raise over £9.5m million each year to keep their helicopters in the air and provide the critical care that makes all the difference between life and death for many. To think that the funds raised through my run will directly contribute to such an important cause is extremely rewarding. It’s a reminder of how crucial community support is to keep essential services like GNAAS going.

This fundraising effort is part of Lucy Pittaway Ltd’s broader partnership with GNAAS for 2024, and it’s just one of many initiatives we have planned to help raise the funds they need. Whether it’s through art sales, events in our galleries, or taking part in events like this run, we are committed to doing all we can to support GNAAS’s vital work.

Chris is grateful to everyone who has donated and shown their support. It means the world to him, and more importantly, it makes a real difference to GNAAS and the people they help.
