Lucy Presents A Picture To A Very Special Person!

Royal Recognition at the Wensleydale Heifer

In a splendid gathering at one of Yorkshire’s esteemed boutique hotels, Wensleydale Heifer in West Witton, North Yorkshire, a member of the royal family received a distinct memento of her time.

HRH, The Princess Royal graced the event, honouring Racing Welfare’s launch of the Hill House Appeal. The charity, dedicated to aiding British horseracing’s workforce, aspires to offer accommodations for budding professionals in the local racing community through this initiative. They’ve procured the present Hill House site in Middleham, reflecting their commitment to supplying quality housing for the young racing workforce.

The esteemed Princess, as Racing Welfare’s President, was accompanied by renowned racehorse trainers of the region. Commemorating the royal visit, the hotel proprietors, David and Lewis Moss, in collaboration with the acclaimed local artist Lucy Pittaway, bestowed upon her a gift – an original painting capturing the essence of a Yorkshire view.

Lewis Moss remarked, “We were overwhelmed with joy to host HRH, The Princess Royal at the Wensleydale Heifer. The evening was monumental, and we’re elated to extend our support to the pivotal Hill House Appeal through our profits. Our association with the charity runs deep, and it was our pleasure to present the Princess with a piece of Yorkshire.”

The artwork is a creation by Lucy Pittaway, who has been integrally involved with the hotel recently. With a full-fledged refurbishment of its dining area and curating artworks for the hotel’s boutique rooms, Lucy’s artistic touch is omnipresent. Lauded as the UK’s Most Popular Selling Artist, Lucy has secured various accolades for her work.

She expressed her elation, stating, “Gifting my artwork to HRH, The Princess Royal was truly an honour, especially marking her visit to the Wensleydale Heifer during such a momentous event.”
