The New Collection is Here!

Last night, we welcomed guests to our York gallery for the launch of Living the Good Life, Lucy Pittaway’s latest collection.

The evening was a great success, with some of our lovely customers getting an exclusive look at the eight-piece collection before the general release at 7.30pm last night. Thank you to everyone who came and helped mark the occasion.

Lucy’s work often reflects the landscapes around her, and this series is no different. “I’m lucky to be surrounded by nature and animals,” she says. “This collection is inspired by the countryside and the animals featured in The Yorkshire Vet. Watching the vets care for them made me appreciate the joy they bring to our lives.”

The collection introduces a host of new characters to fall in love with, from furry to feathery and everything in between. Each piece has its own charm, capturing the personality of the animals within it. There’s even a little ladybird hiding in one of the paintings—have you spotted it yet?

One of Lucy’s favourites from the collection is Spag and Hetti, a piece featuring a distinctive breed of sheep. “I love their curly coats and sooty black faces. They have so much character, and I really enjoyed painting them,” she says.

At the launch, guests had the opportunity to meet Lucy and hear about her creative process and the inspiration behind the collection. There was a great response to the new work, and we’re excited to now share it with a wider audience.

The collection is now available in your nearest gallery and online. If you are interested in purchasing an original, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our York Gallery team, who will be happy to help.  Call 01904 501 920 or email [email protected] .
