We Will Remember Them

A deeply moving and beautifully crafted artwork by Lucy Pittaway that captures the spirit of remembrance with warmth and quiet dignity. A flock of sheep march along  a sun-dappled path through a sea of vivid red poppies, while above them a Supermarine Spitfire and a Hawker Hurricane soar through dramatic skies. Resting against a weathered fence post, a soldier's Brodie helmet and soldier's worn Hobnail boots stand as a tender, silent tribute to those who served. 

Rich in symbolism and rendered with extraordinary detail, this artwork honours the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force in a single, breathtaking scene — land, sea, and air united in remembrance. It blends the pastoral beauty of the British countryside with the poignant imagery of wartime sacrifice; a reminder that peace is never taken for granted.

Lucy Pittaway is pleased to collaborate with the Royal British Legion on this project, with the aim of raising funds through the sale of the artwork “We Will Remember Them”. £10 (Ten Pounds) plus VAT from the sale of each print of the artwork will be paid to Royal British Legion Trading Limited (Company no. 4783730 registered in England and Wales) which gives its taxable profits to The Royal British Legion (Charity no. 219279 and in Scotland with Charity No. SC054446).

This image is available as either a Fine Art Paper print or a Canvas print, each created with the highest quality materials.

The Fine Art Paper option is printed on archival quality 315gsm paper using industry-standard lightfast inks. Each print comes personally signed by Lucy and is available in a number of sizes.

Alternatively, the Canvas option is printed using Canon Lucia Pro inks on 360gsm 100% cotton canvas and finished with Permajet satin varnish, ensuring a beautifully vibrant and durable piece.
