This piece was commissioned by Welcome To Yorkshire in 2018 for the Royal Chelsea Flower Show's 'Yorkshire Garden'. The garden was designed by Mark Gregory and my brief was to paint the garden in a true Yorkshire setting. Lush green pastures, summer plants and flowers, a cultivated cottage garden, and a tumbling fresh water beck frame an imposing stone bothy. Two Swaledale sheep take in the beautiful surroundings and appear to be looking across the valley at the stunning Pen Hill in the distance.
