This piece was inspired by my then very young twins, and at the time, one of the things they used to say to me regularly was "I love you as far as the sun". The image it gave me in my head was of them sitting on a bench together, looking out across the sky to the sun. I had to paint the piece in rich reds as I felt this reflected the love and warmth of our relationship. This piece always gives me a warm feeling inside when I look at it.
