Tour de Yorkshire Art - Official painting of Stage 1 of the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire, depicting the stunning countryside of Yorkshire on the route between Beverley to Doncaster.
Beverly and Doncaster ministers are dominant features in the landscape, highlighting the starts and finish points. Also included is the market hall in Doncaster. The poppies are not only representative of the time of year and the beautiful colours of the Yorkshire landscape but there’s a tentative link to the ceramicist Paul Cummings who created all the poppies for the scene at the Tower Of London memorial. It was to bring something into the painting that helped blend with the title ‘Arts and Culture’! There’s also a plane banner with a message Aye Up Yorkshire in the TDY colours for a bit of fun!
This image has been printed on archival quality 315gsm Fine Art Paper using industry standard lightfast inks. Each print is numbered and personally signed by Lucy and is available in a number of sizes. It also carries the Official Art Work for the Tour de Yorkshire 2018 embossed stamp.
