Lucy Pittaway
Northern Life
Growing up on Teesside meant I became very familiar with the local landmarks such as the Cleveland Transporter Bridge, the ICI, steel works, Roseberry Topping and later the Riverside Stadium. I was used to seeing a backdrop of huge smoking chimneys and in my eyes they just blended into the landscape. I grew up in an environment where industry and nature sat comfortably side by side and I admired them both for their own merits.
