The Stone Circle at Keswick is the setting for this peaceful scene. It's a place my family and I frequently visit together, with our dog. Easily accessible by road or on foot via scenic paths, we often walk or ride our bikes there to take in the stunning 360 degree views. My favourite viewpoint, the one in my painting, is across the valley at sunset where the warm colours from the sun, illuminate one side of the stones and cast long shadows to the other, creating more dramatic light effects across the scene.
