As a girl I had many fun trips out to the seaside with my family. With my fishing net and a bucket in tow we'd spend hours fishing in the rock pools. I'd look forward to a treat of fish and chips or a bag of cockles and winkles and if I was lucky, ice cream with a lemon top or a stick of rock for dessert! Fond memories of Whitby stay cemented in my mind.
