Pen Hill became a fascination of mine for quite a while and appears in many of my earlier pieces. I love the flat table top appearance of it sitting against the skyline, unlike so many of the hills around the Dales. This was one of my very first landscape pieces and an earlier introduction of sheep in my paintings.
