Tour de Yorkshire Art - Official picture of Stage 4 of the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire, depicting the iconic landmarks of Yorkshire on the gruelling stage between Halifax and Leeds, a perfect gift for any cycling enthusiast or fan of the Tour de Yorkshire!

This is the one that really highlights the relentless climbs for the riders. Piece Hall and The Headrow in Leeds mark the start and overall finish to the race but the landscape is busy with all sorts of points of interest including the canals, land art, the Yorkshire Rose, a little Black sheep in Masham and three dominant spectators perched on the edge of Kilnsey Cragg overlooking the riders. Skipton’s medieval castle, Barden Tower, Bolton Abbey, Hebden bridge, Middleham and Masham all feature here but the comedy element really is the ridiculous peak of Park Rash where the rider is throwing his fist into the sky to celebrate being the first to the top.

All of the pieces feature the cyclists wearing the colours from the teams and/or the sponsored jerseys. The cyclists are a small but obvious element to these pieces but I wanted a contrast to last year’s piece which was very cycling heavy.
